I commissioned Elaine to do a portrait of our dogs Poppy and Tilly as a Christmas present for my wife.
The communication with Elaine was first class she kept me up to date throughout the process sending emails and pictures.
The finished portrait is excellent and captures the true likeness of them both. I have had the picture framed and it is now awaiting opening on Christmas day.

My daughter bought me one of these paintings of my Border Collie for my birthday. At first I thought it was a photograph, so life like and accurate was it. However the picture is so much more than that as it captures all the character of the dog, which only we really know. I recomend Elaine to anyone as someone special.

I set Elaine an unenviable task - to produce 2 identical portraits of Rosie, one for myself and one for Rosie's other 'mom' who sadly had to leave her behind when she moved home some years ago. The subsequent results were amazing, the portraits were so similar I could not tell them apart and they were true representations of the photo Elaine had worked from. I would have no hesitation is recommending Elaine's work as it is first class.

I was really pleased with my painting of Jack, my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. This is not the first picture done for me by Elaine, and I am sure it wont be the last. Her paintings just capture the animal to a 't' howc she gets their personality into the picture I have no idea. Just love my 'Jack' picture

Elaine has now done two portraits of our Flat-coated retrievers and they both took our breath away, and reduced my mum to tears! They both look so life like and she has completely captured the characters of both our dogs. Elaine was excellent at keeping me up to date and sent regular images of the portrait at different stages. Elaine did a portrait of our springer spaniel dog. The result was superb, it was the spitting image of our dog - made me cry when I saw it - it was so life like! Elaine was very friendly, kept you upto date with how long it would take and sent through pictures so you could the finished product, i would definitely use her again and have recommended her to family and friends

Elaine has produced two portraits now of our dogs some two years apart.
In both instances I asked for, what I suppose one could describe as 'demanding detail'.
The first portrait was from one of my images taken against the light. This produced a 'fine halo line' agaist the outline of the dogs head and although easy to reproduce in photographic images by digital enhancement a pastel of same is much more difficult to produce. The finished result by Elaine exceeded my expectations.
In the other instance I set her a different type of challenge. The image I sent her was of the dog hiding in long grass with just her face showing peeping through the grass stalks. The result was that half the canvas comprised of grass. It goes without saying of course that Elaine reproduced every blade of grass and the dogs head in the requested position and I am highly delighted with the finished result.
The bottom line is that I would most certainly recommend Elaine for pastel reproduction of your treasured photographs even though the features of said photograph may be considered out of the ordinary and perhaps difficult to reproduce in a portrait. Keith Till - 14 June 2010

I asked Elaine if she would do me a portrait of our Dog for my Wifes Xmas present. She said yes, but i would have to wait until Febuary for delivery, thats how busy she was.
